Customer Reviews
Sent a package, it worked out
So I wanted to send something nice to my friend in the Navy, you know, just a little pick-me-up. I got The Deployment Survival Kit. It was pretty easy to put together on their site, and I even added a custom photo. It got there fine, took about 10 days to reach his ship. He said it was a nice surprise. So yeah, it worked out.
Detailed review of my order
I placed an order for The Healthy Hero Care Package for my friend. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, I liked being able to add specific items and a personalized photo card. The package was shipped to an FPO address. It took 12 days from order placement to delivery, which was acceptable considering the international destination. I appreciated the tracking updates, even if they were a bit sparse once it left the US. My friend confirmed everything arrived intact and he was happy with the contents. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about customs forms before shipping. The quality of the items seemed good, fresh snacks and useful toiletries. It met my expectations for sending a thoughtful gift.
Easy to send
Sent The Coffee Lovers Care Package. Website was simple to use. Shipping was free to APO. Package arrived okay. Good selection of items. Would use again.
Good value, first time buyer
I was looking for a care package for my cousin deployed overseas and found Hero Care Packages. The Build Your Own Care Package option let me pick exactly what I wanted for his specific tastes. I managed to get a good first-order discount, which made the price feel really fair for all the items I included. It felt like a solid purchase.
Decent package, slow shipping
I ordered The Snack Attack Care Package. The selection was good, and my brother loved the variety. Customization was easy with the photo message. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected for an APO address, about 15 days to reach Germany, which was a minor drawback. Overall, a good experience, but maybe they could speed up the transit times a little.

I'm looking at Troopster too, but what makes Hero Care Packages different? Anyone got experience with both?
What if my package gets returned to sender for some reason? Do they reship or refund?
Has anyone used their custom photo card messages? How does that work, like do I upload it or what?
Are these guys legit? I've seen some sketchy sites for care packages before.
Are there any discounts for first-time buyers? Thinking of getting the Ultimate Hero one.
Does anyone know if the subscription boxes get the same kind of discounts as the one-off packages? Or is it just for the first box?
can you stack coupon codes? Like if I have a first-time discount and a free shipping one?
Hey, I'm trying to send a package to my brother overseas. How long does it usually take for these care packages to get to an APO address?
